Summer Research Opportunities
Undergraduate Opportunities
Consider getting involved with summer research at the national or global level! Summer research programs provide an immersive research experience that is often not possible during the school year. Students will typically work with a faculty mentor matched as closely as possible to the student’s research interests and career goals. Students who engage in a summer research program gain a competitive advantage when applying for jobs or graduate school. Opportunities are available in virtually all academic fields (e.g., arts, humanities, social sciences, sciences, health sciences, engineering, etc.).
Use the resources below to identify an institution, learn about the projects, and discover the faculty and other researchers you can work with. Students are typically granted stipends and, in many cases, assistance with housing and travel. Applications are competitive and have varying due dates. Below is a partial list of summer research programs around the nation and world, including searchable summer research program databases.
